In 1886, the Friedrich family opened a monument shop in Iowa, cutting granite by hand for families across Shiawassee County.
Five generations later, they have never left. A second location opened in Mount Ayr to serve Genesee County. Diamond-etching, sandblasting, portrait work — all done in-house, by the same family. The fourth generation still pulls every design proof and still drives to the cemetery the day a monument is set.
